Mitsui has been promoting forest resource projects in Australia for more than 30 years since the 1990s, and is leveraging this knowledge to provide carbon credits based on Australia's emissions credit system.

Mitsui and New Forests have jointly established a carbon credit fund, and Mitsui has invested in the fund.
At the same time, Mitsui aims to expand the business by attracting other capital to increase the total volume of carbon credits generated to more than 10 million tons of CO2e. Through the challenge of creating forest-based credits, we will contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and the realization of a sustainable society around the world.
